CCHSR is recruiting Health Economists

We are expanding our team of health economists and wish to recruit two health economists, one at the University of Cambridge and one at RAND Europe.

Research Associate at the University of Cambridge

We are seeking a research associate in health economics to work on a number of primary care-related economic evaluations and other studies with an economic or econometric component.  In addition, there will be opportunities to contribute to the broader health services research agenda of the Cambridge Centre for Health Services Research, including collaboration with staff at RAND Europe. The holder of this post will be expected to contribute to grant applications, publish internationally excellent and world-leading research in high quality peer-reviewed journals and maintain an academic profile through presentation of research at national and international seminars and conferences.  The postholder will work under the guidance of CCHSR’s director, Professor Martin Roland.  Senior economic supervision will be provided by Dr Ed Wilson.  This post is offered for two years.

For an informal discussion about the post, please contact Professor Martin Roland, mr108@cam.ac.uk or Dr Ed Wilson, ed.wilson@medschl.cam.ac.uk.  For details of how to apply, please see http://www.jobs.cam.ac.uk/job/5822/.

Analyst/Senior Analyst RAND Europe

RAND Europe, based in Cambridge, are seeking to appoint an Analyst or Senior Analyst.  We are looking for an exceptional candidate with a track record and Masters or PhD in health economics, and a good understanding of health and healthcare challenges and priorities in the UK and Europe. We are looking for an individual with strong methodological skills and a track record in quantitative analyses. The postholder will be expected to contribute to all stages of projects, from assisting in proposal writing, through contributing to the research, to report writing across a range of health policy areas. Applications from more experienced candidates will also be considered.  The post would involve opportunities to work on joint projects across CCHSR and links with Cambridge University, allowing access to electronic and physical resources within the University.

For an informal discussion about the post, please contact Dr Jenny Newbould, newbould@rand.org, or Dr Sarah King, sking@rand.org.  For details of how to apply, please see http://www.rand.org/randeurope/about/employment.html.
